Rumour: Manchester United target Paul Pogba set to extend Juventus stay

Paul Pogba of Juventus

Manchester United have been working over-time to try and re-sign midfield sensation Paul Pogba, but now seem to have been dealt a major blow in their pursuit.

The Frenchman is all set to sign a new and improved contract at Juventus, which will tie him down till 2018, and will see him earn £50,000-a-week.

The 20-year old was sold by Sir Alex Ferguson citing problems with his attitude on and off the field. The player was said to have asked for a major rise in wages to £30,000 a-week, which the club refused to match.

Since his move to the Serie A, the youngster has been a standout, scoring 9 goals and assisting 8 in all competitions.
