Rumour: Mario Mandzukic's agent in London to hold talks with Arsenal or Chelsea

Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic could be set for a summer move to England after reports emerged that his agent has flown to London for talks about the forward’s future with Arsenal and Chelsea, reports InsideFutbol.

The 27-year-old Croatian remains Pep Guardiola’s first choice front man at the Bundesliga outfit, who could win the title this weekend with victory over Mainz, but questions have been asked of his long term future at the club recently.

The Bavarians have purchased Robert Lewandowski from rivals Borussia Dortmund, which has put Mandzukic’s place in jeopardy. The Polish international is due to arrive at Bayern in the summer and Mandzukic is believed to be unhappy with the situation.

Lewandowski is expected to slot straight into the first team and Mandzukic’s playing time is likely to suffer as a result, prompting his agent Ivan Cvjetkovic to fly to England to discuss a potential transfer with the Premier League pair.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is in the market for a forward to provide back-up to Olivier Giroud while Jose Mourinho has made no secret of his attempt to make a marquee signing to lead his front line following disappointing campaigns from Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto’o.
