PSG midfielder wanted by Leicester City - Reports

According to Le10Sport, Leicester City are interested in Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) midfielder Ayman Kari. The highly touted 18-year-old player spent the second half of the season on loan at Lorient.

Kari is yet to play a game for the Parisians' senior team. However, he has represented the club at the under-19 level. Kari has also made three appearances for Leicester while being away on loan.

Leicester, meanwhile, are on the verge of relegation from the Premier League. They look set to lose players like James Maddison next season. Hence, the club need to reinforce their ranks.

With the team's chances of playing in the Championship increasing by the day, Kari could turn out to be a good signing for next season. Signing the player from PSG could also be a financially affordable deal for the Foxez. Kari has an estimated market value of around £4 million.

PSG superstar Gianluigi Donnarumma urges defensive solidity

While PSG look well on course to win the Ligue 1 title, their performances have been well below par. They have looked vulnerable defensively all season.

In their win against AJ Auxerre at the weekend, the Parisians once again conceded. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma reflected on the performance, telling Prime Video Sport France:

“Yes, it was very difficult tonight. We are taking too many goals. It annoys me. We have to change that."

He added:

“We were brave to keep that 2-1 lead on the road. But we have to avoid taking so many goals.”

The Parisians have conceded 36 goals in as many Ligue 1 games this season. They also conceded a bunch in the UEFA Champions League this season, including three in the Round of 16 exit to Bayern Munich.

The club look set to sign Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan in the summer. Whether Skriniar's arrival can help the Ligue 1 giants sort out their defensive issues next season remains to be seen.
