Rumour: Paris Saint-Germain to make a move for Chelsea's Oscar
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly plotting an outrageous move for Chelsea’s Oscar, with a bid in excess of £40 million being prepared by the big spending French club, according to ESPN.
The Brazilian has played a key role in Chelsea’s rise to the top of the table this season, with Mourinho making both him and Eden Hazard his main attacking playmakers as they aim to reclaim the title for the first time since 2010.
But PSG are very keen to bring Oscar to the French capital and have set aside £41.5m in order to land his signature in the summer, and feel they have a good chance of tempting him away in the summer.
Oscar is in his second season with Chelsea having signed for £25m from Internacional in Brazil, but has recently made noises that he is not happy in England, having struggled to adapt to the lifestyle and the climate, bemoaning England’s ‘difficult weather’.
Oscar still has three years left to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea have little desire to sell, but the French giants believe that an offer in excess of £40m could tempt them to the negotiation table.
Monaco and Barcelona could rival PSG for his signature should Chelsea make Oscar available for transfer, with the latter plotting a double Brazilian swoop for the midfielder and his compatriot David Luiz.
