Real Madrid have 'concrete' interest in Liverpool superstar; player 'interested' in possible move - Reports

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in snapping up Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. The 25-year-old has been at Anfield since his senior debut under former manager Jurgen Klopp in the 2016-17 season.

One of the rare one-club men in the modern game, Alexander-Arnold has contributed an impressive 100 goal contributions - 19 goals and 81 assists - in 310 games across competitions for the Reds.

Except for the UEFA Europa League, he has won every other possible title with the Reds, including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup, among others. However, with his contract expiring in 2025, he hasn't extended his current deal at Anfield.

BILD Sport journalist Christian Falk has reported 'concrete' interest from Los Blancos. He has also tweeted that Alexander-Arnold is also 'interested' in the move and that there has been contact between the two parties since a month.

Alexander-Arnold is coming off a Euro 2024 campaign with England, where they lost 2-1 to Spain in the final. He came off the bench four times - scoring in the quarter-final shootout win over Switzerland - but didn't feature in the semi-final and final.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is coming off a solid 2023-24 season with Liverpool. The Real Madrid target contributed three goals and nine assists in 37 games across competitions.

All three goals and four of the assists came in 28 games in the Premier League - where Liverpool finished third - behind Manchester City and Arsenal. He also registered two assists in five outings in the UEFA Europa League and three in two matches in the Reds' victorious EFL Cup campaign.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid had a superb 2023-24 campaign, winning three titles - including a second La Liga-UEFA Champions League double in three years. Considering Alexander-Arnold's prowess - especially at the offensive end - he could be a superb addition to Carlo Ancelotti's side.
