Real Madrid keeping tabs on Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr teammate, have held internal talks about possible signing - Reports

Real Madrid are reportedly looking to pursue Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr teammate Aymeric Laporte. The Spanish centre-back had joined the club last summer from Manchester City.

In 39 games across competitions, the 30-year-old has contributed four goals and an assist. All five goal contributions came in 27 games in the Saudi Premier League, where Ronaldo and Co. finished behind unbeaten runway winners Al-Hilal.

Despite the Euro 2024 winner being contracted to Mrsool Park till 2026, he has attracted interest from Los Blancos. The reigning La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners have - as per The Athletic (via Al Nassr Zone) - have had 'internal' talks about the move, which is expected to be 'complicated'.

The Al-Nassr defender has had success in Europe, especially with Manchester City, where he won five Premier League titles. Meanwhile, Ronaldo is coming off a second straight trophyless season despite producing a spectacular 44-goal season.

The 39-year is Madrid's all-time top scorer with a record 450 goals in 438 games across competitions during aa hugely successful nine-season spell between 2009 and 2018. He won trophies galore, including two La Liga and four UEFA Champions League titles, among numerous domestic and international honours.

As mentioned above, Cristiano Ronaldo had a hugely successful season at Real Madrid, scoring goals and winning big titles galore. He also won four of his five Ballon d'Or awards while at the Santiago Bernabeu.

He averaged exactly 50 goals per season during his entire stint, breaching the mark in six of nine seasons. So, which one was his most prolific campaign for the current Al-Nassr striker.

It was in 2014-15 when the 39-year-old smashed 61 goals in 54 games across competitions. That included a stunning 48 strikes in La Liga, but Madrid finished behind treble winners Barca in the league. It was the third time Cristiano Ronaldo breached the 40-goal mark in the Spanish top flight.
