Ten Hag concerned Manchester United man might be out for a while after picking up injury against Arsenal - Reports

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is fearing the worst for new signing Leny Yoro. The centre-back is expected to be sidelined for a while after sustaining a muscle injury in the 2-1 friendly defeat to Arsenal on Saturday (July 27).

Rasmus Hojlund opened the scoring for the Red Devils inside 10 minutes at the SoFi Stadium before Gabriel Jesus restored parity 16 minutes later. Gabriel Martinelli scored the winner nine minutes from time as United suffered their first loss of the pre-season.

However, more concerning than the defeat would be the potential loss of Yoro for a while. As per Hirstclass (via Mufcmpb), Ten Hag is worried that Yoro will be out for a while.

The 18-year-old - who arrived from Lille on a reported £52 million move - received lengthy treatment before he was hauled off in the first half. The immediate extent of his injury will become clear following scans. Ten Hag told MUTV (via Sky Sports):

"We have to wait 24 hours and then we will hopefully know more. We were very careful, especially with Leny. It is disappointing he had to come off, but let's be positive and see what comes out."

In another blow for the Red Devils, striker Hojlund also came off due to an apparent hamstring issue.

Manchester United continue their pre-season tour of the United States when they next take on La Liga side Real Betis at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego on July 31.

The Red Devils will conclude their pre-season three days later with a clash with domestic rivals Liverpool at the Brice Stadium in South Carolina before starting their season in right earnest with an FA Community Shield clash with Manchester City on August 10.

Earlier, Ten Hag's side had opened their pre-season with a surprise last-gasp 1-0 loss to Rosenborg in Norway before winning 2-0 at Rangers just before embarking on their US tour.
