Rumour: Tottenham approach Manchester United over Alexander Buttner loan deal
The North London club approached Manchester United over Alexander Buttner for a potential loan deal. Alexander Buttner has had very few starts this season under new boss David Moyes.
As per reports in Mirror, Tottenham are keen to take the Dutch left back to White Hart Lane on loan and will sign him on a permanent deal if he impresses. With Jan Vertonghen injured and backup Benoit Assou Ekotto is unwilling to return from his loan spell at QPR.
Buttner was signed from Vitesse Arnhem in August 2012 for a fee believed to be around 5 million pounds. He has had a total of 19 appearances including six this season for Manchester United and has also failed to impress boss David Moyes who is looking forward to replace the outgoing Patrice Evra.
Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen is also keen to make a move for Alexander Buttner from his former club. Reports also suggest that Italian clubs Roma and Genoa are also interested in signing the 24 year old Dutch international.
