Rumour: Tottenham Hotspur target versatile Napoli forward Goran Pandev
Reports coming out of Italy suggest that Napoli forward Goran Pandev could be on his way to the Premier League amid concerns of lack of first team opportunity at his current club.
The Macedonian was a part of the Inter Milan squad that secured the treble under Jose Mourinho. He then moved to Napoli on loan for a season, later earning a permanent move, on the back of impressive performance at the Stadio San Paolo.
However, the striker, who is adept in various attacking posititons, could be warming the benches if the Italian side is successful in it’s attempt to land Michel Bastos from UAE side Al Ain and Jorginho from Hellas Verona.
The 30-year old could be ideal for the North London outfit, who are short in the striking department with the departure of Jermaine Defoe. The erratic form of Spanish striker Roberto Soldado has left the manager with no option but to look else where to find an able partner for rejuvenated Emmanuel Adebayor.
With the former Lazio man said to prefer a move to England, a move might be imminent in the coming few days.
