Rumour: Tottenham Hotspur eyeing Tim Krul as potential replacement for Hugo Lloris

Tottenham Hotspur are considering moving for in form Newcastle United goal keeper Tim Krul if Hugo Lloris decides to leave the club in the summer.

The France captain, who came to North London two seasons back, has thrown his future at the club into considerable doubt after admitting he might consider leaving if the Spurs fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.

Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood is already searching for potential replacements, with Dutch shot stopper Tim Krul heading the list of ideal replacements.

The Toons keeper has been impressive over the last couple of seasons for Alan Pardew, and might be enticed by a move to  White Hart Lane which will provide the player a better chance to showcase his skills in European competitions.

However, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will put all his resources to use to try and tie down Hugo Lloris to a long term contract, who has been magnificent for them this season.
