Rumour: Tottenham plotting sensational return for £1.5 million rated unsettled Dimitar Berbatov
According to the Daily Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur chief Daniel Levy is keen to hand unsettled Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov an emotional return to the White Hart Lane this January window.
The languid Bulgarian played in North London for two seasons, and was one of their best performers during the time. He scored a spectacular 45 goals in just 95 appearances for the Spurs, which earned him his dream multi million pound move to the Theatre of Dreams.
However, despite impressive seasons for the Red Devils, the striker was sold amidst concerns of his attitude towards the game and his work ethic. A move to Fulham followed, and after just one full season with the Cottagers, the forward looks unsettled, and is now hoping to secure a move away from Craven Cottage.
The graceful goal scorer was linked with fierce rivals Arsenal, however, Tottenham Hotspur will hope they are in pole poistion to land berbatov this window.
A deal of £1.5 million might prove to be a bargain, considering the wealth of Premier League experience and talent the player possesses. The 32-year old might favour a move to his former club, where he played some the best football of his career.
