Rumours: Paris Saint-Germain plan audacious swoop for Man City’s Yaya Toure
French champions Paris Saint-Germain are looking into making a sensational summer move for Manchester City’s midfield powerhouse, Yaya Toure, according to France Football.
France Football are reporting that PSG, who were knocked out of the Champions League quarter-finals by Chelsea, want to sign Toure in the summer after his superb goal-scoring season.
<The Ivorian has scored 18 goals in the Premier League to sit third overall, just behind Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez who have scored a combined 49 goals for Liverpool.
PSG raided the Premier League for Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye in January and are preparing another one for Toure, who could command a fee upwards of £30 million, despite his age.
Toure has been magnificent since signing for City in 2010 from Barcelona for £25m. He came from Spain having won the Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey treble and helped City win their first Premier League title two years later.
The midfielder scored the winning goal in the FA Cup final in his first season at the club and then provided some important goals in the run-in for their league triumph a year later.
His knack of scoring important goals continued this season as he netted a wonderful curling effort in the Capital One Cup final earlier this year as City beat Sunderland at Wembley.
