Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly set to be among the ISL bidders
Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly are set to bid for teams in the Indian Super League, according to a report in the Economic Times.
Tendulkar is expected to partner with Hyderabad-based PVP Ventures while Ganguly is tying up with Kolkata-based businessman Harsh Neotia.
Ganguly is reportedly keen on getting the Kolkata franchise and Neotia, the chairman of the Ambuja Neotia Group, confirmed that his company has picked up the bid documents and a partnership with the former India cricket team captain is in the process.
A PVP Ventures spokesperson confirmed that they have bought the bid documents but declined comment on a potential partnership with Tendulkar.
The base price for each franchise is Rs 120 crore for a 10-year contract with 30 parties having bought bid documents already. The winners are likely to be announced in the second week of April.
Star India have already been roped in as partners of this IMG-Reliance organised project and they will also have the broadcasting rights for 10 years.
