Samir Nasri's girlfriend Anara Atanes slams France manager Didier Deschamps on Twitter
Samir Nasri’s girlfriend Anara Atanes was one of the few people who were stunned after discovering the omission of the Manchester City midfielder from the 23-man squad announced by manager Didier Deschamps on Tuesday.
But, she made sure her opinion was heard. Taking to twitter, she launched an expletive rant on France manager Didier Deschamps.
Her rant against France and their national coach Didier Deschamps on Twitter:
Lets just get this straight! Im not mad i get my bf for 2 months…. I just think theres a level of respect to be had! — Anara (@_Anara_) May 13, 2014
Everyone is so fast its so amusing i actually meant f%^& the france national team. But please continue french people…. — Anara (@_Anara_) May 13, 2014
Later, Samir Nasri tried to console his furious girlfriend through a tweet:
@SamNasri19 love u baby! See u friday! — Anara (@_Anara_) May 13, 2014
When asked about his decision to omit Nasri, Deschamps told French TV channel TF1 on Tuesday, “Samir is an important player for Manchester City but he has not performed that well with France. He is a starter at City, which is not the case with France and he has made clear that he is not happy when he is not [a starter], and I can tell you it can be felt in the squad.”
“I built the best squad, I did not pick the 23 best French players,” he added.
Anara posted this on her instagram after Manchester City won the league:
Along with Nasri, team-mate Gael Clichy has also failed to make the cut into the 23-man squad.
Nasri was previously disbarred for three matches by the French Football Association during the Euro 2012, and since then has only appeared six times for France.
