Schalke's in demand right back Atsuto Uchida says Arsenal move would be a dream
According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are contemplating a summer move for Schalke right-back Atsuto Uchida.
After failing to agree renewed terms at the Emirates, Sagna has reportedly agreed an £150,000-a-week contract with Premier League champions Manchester City – although the transfer will not be made official until July 1.
Uchida featured on 17 occasions for Schalke in the Bundesliga last term, providing three assists along the way.
Additionally, The Japanese international made six appearances during the German club’s Champions League campaign, making his mark with a lofted cross against Steaua Bucharest that found it’s way into the back of the net.
Elsewhere, the North London club have been keeping tabs on Manchester City’s Micah Richards Toulouse full-back Serge Aurier.
Questioned over the rumoured interest from Arsenal, Aurier gave the impression he’d welcome a switch to the Premier League.
“You can’t refuse an offer from Arsenal.
“It would be a dream.”
Micah Richards is set to leave the Etihad this transfer window in the pursuance of regular first-team football, given the difficulty in ousting City stalwart Pablo Zabaleta from the starting line-up.
