Seattle Sounders vs Vancouver Whitecaps prediction, preview, team news and more | MLS 2024

Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps lock horns at the Lumen Field in the MLS on Saturday, as both sides look to recover from their respective defeats in their last outing.

After three games unbeaten, Seattle were brought back down to earth with a 2-0 defeat by Real Salt Lake in Utah on Wednesday. Carlos Andres Gomez and Diego Luna scored a goal apiece in either half to condemn the Rave Greens to their sixth loss of the season.

With 13 points from as many games, Seattle are down in 10th position in the Western Conference table, having won only thrice in the league so far. Vancouver sit three places above them with five points more in the bag.

After winning five times from their opening eight games, the Village failed to win any of their next four, drawing and losing twice each, while failing to score in their last three.

Seattle Sounders vs Vancouver Whitecaps Prediction

Vancouver Whitecaps have seemed better so far in the 2024 season, but have recently gone off the boil. Their attacking boots are missing too, with the Canadian side firing blanks in their last three MLS games. Seattle Sounders will look to take advantage of this and pile more misery on them.
