Sergio Aguero apologises to David Luiz on Twitter for his two-footed tackle
After Manchester City‘s Sergio Aguero’s dirty two-footed tackle on Chelsea‘s David Luiz’s rear end during the FA Cup semifinal went unnoticed by the match referee, Aguero apologised to his Brazilian opponent for his brutal foul on Twitter.
Even though FA had stated earlier that Aguero would not face any retrospective action for the foul, the Manchester City forward showed some sportsmanship with an apology after his team’s 2-1 win over Chelsea. Here is what he tweeted:
I’ve contacted @davidluiz_4 and apologized for what happened during the match. It was an impulse reaction that shouldn’t have happened.

David Luiz also accepted his apology and thanked him on Twitter.
Thank you @aguerosergiokun for a demonstration of character. We get to know great man and athletes this way.
