Agent: Shaqiri will listen to Liverpool, Manchester United offers

Bayern Munich midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri’s spell at the Budesliga outfit looks increasingly uncertain after his agent admitted that they will wait until the end of the season to make a decision on his future, reports Blick.

The Swiss attacking midfielder has reportedly grown frustrated with a lack of game time under manager Pep Guardiola and recently claimed that he was <flattered by the interest from Premier League pair Manchester United and Liverpool.

Although Guardiola believes that the 22-year-old still has a future at the club, with a huge contingent of attacking midfield talent ahead of him in the pecking order, the former Basel man appears to be interested in exploring his options before committing to the Bavarians.

“Xherdan is 22 now, and at this age he needs to play regularly which is not currently the case,” claimed the player’s brother Erdin Shaqiri, who also acts as his agent and advisor.

“We are going to wait until the summer, but then, if clubs top clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United, and Inter Milan come, we would listen to their offers.

“However, Bayern will remain the first ones we talk to before going to any other clubs,” he declared.

The news is a significant boost for both Manchester United and Liverpool, who have both been strongly linked with the youngster in the past and would be interested in a summer deal, with Shaqiri believed to be valued at £25 million.

Xherdan Shaqiri has completed a full 90 minutes for Bayern Munich on just one occasion this season.
