SK Amaze: Philippe Coutinho's wonder goal for Brazil against rivals Argentina

International break looms a period of uncertainty for football fans as meaningless friendlies and poor brand of football goes on for an entire week which disrupts the excitement of league football. Add injuries to your crucial players in this period and the international break becomes a total nightmare.

However, one game in the early hours of Friday morning lived up to its billing as Brazil and Argentina faced off in a World Cup qualification encounter. Brazil won 3-0 on the night and in a game that involved the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Sergio Aguero; Liverpool's pocket dynamo stole the show.

Philippe Coutinho scored a delightful 25-yard screamer against rivals Argentina

Coutinho continued his red-hot form for the Selecao as he scored a stunning opener which completely took the fizz out of Argentine hopes. The Brazilian who is touted as being Liverpool's talisman in their rise to the top of the Premier League took just 25 minutes to break the deadlock in a match which was eventually won one sided by the hosts.

A move which started on the left flank by Real Madrid's Marcelo included some fine work by Neymar who flicked the ball in Coutinho's way before the magician began his stunning trick. He got hold of the ball and started drifting in, cutting inside and beating Nicolas Otamendi with ease. A rocket of a shot which could have taken the net off with it was a sensational effort by the Brazilian as Sergio Romero, Argentina's custodian on the night had absolutely no chance.

Coutinho, who has already amassed 5 goals and 5 assists in 10 Premier League games this season is starting to attract interest from FC Barcelona. The Catalan club is a huge fan of the Reds' playmaker and is keen to get him together with his former teammate, Luis Suarez. If he continues this kind of stunning form, it will take a lot for Jurgen Klopp to keep hold of his prized asset.

Brazil rounded off their opponents 3-0 with the other goals coming from Neymar, who scored his 50th goal for his national team and Paulinho, the former Spurs midfielder scoring the third and final goal. Brazil currently sit comfortably in the first spot on the group table with Argentina reeling in the sixth spot, currently struggling to make it to the World Cup 2018.
