Solskjaer wins his first match in charge of Cardiff
New Cardiff manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got off to a winning start as Cardiff beat Newcastle United in the third round of the FA cup at St James’ park on saturday.
Solskjaer made two key substitutions , Fraizer Campbell for Cornelius Craig Noone for Odemwingie, which paid dividends as both of them scored to knock Newcastle out of the FA cup.
Newcastle continued their good league form and took the lead in the 60th minute through Papiss Cisse. However, Solskjaer sent winger Craig Noone in the 71st minute and he scored with his first touch to equalize for Cardiff.
Fraizer Campell scored in the 77th minute as Cardiff took the lead and held on to march through to the fourth round of the FA cup.
