Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo suspended for training ground brawl
Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo has been suspended for 2 weeks by the club following a training ground incident with teammate Jose Fonte.
The club stated, “Southampton Football Club has today suspended striker Dani Osvaldo for two weeks, following an incident at the club’s Staplewood training ground.”
‘The club has taken swift and proper action for what it considers a breach of the conduct expected of its players. “
“Southampton will be making no further comment on this matter.”
Osvaldo, who has scored 4 goals in the premier league, was involved in an incident with Eric Lamela when the duo were at Roma. He was also fined £40,000 for an incident near the touchline earlier this year against Newcastle United.
The incident was termed as a “bloody training ground incident” as there was blood everywhere.
