Spain's Espanyol target son of Romario
Rio De Janeiro, Nov 12 The son of former Brazil great Romario is reportedly being courted by Spanish outfit Espanyol.
Romarinho has impressed Espanyol scouts while playing for Brazilian third division club Brasiliense this year, reported Xinhua citing the Terra daily Monday.
The 20-year-old striker was born in Barcelona to a Spanish mother during Romario’s time at the Catalan club from 1993 to 1995.
A product of Vasco da Gama’s youth academy, Romarinho moved to Brasiliense earlier this year but he managed just six first-team appearances for the Brasilia-based club.
It is understood Espanyol want to develop Romarinho in the club’s B-side, which plays in Spain’s third division.
Spanish second-tier side Las Palmas have also reportedly shown interest in the youngster.
