Sporting Club de Goa vs Mumbai FC live: Watch Federation Cup India 2016 online
Mumbai FC visit the Fatorda stadium in Goa to face-off against Sporting Club de Goa in the Federation Cup. Mumbai have to win this game if they are to qualify for the semi-finals of the Federation Cup.
The Goans had ended Mumbai FC’s undefeated streak at the Cooperage stadium when striker Sumeet Passi scored the lone goal in a 1-0 victory. It was Passi’s fourth goal in as many games for the Goan club.

Sporting Club will be vary of the Mumbai side as they were on an unbeaten run in the tournament till their loss. Coach Mateus Costa will do well make his team aware that nothing short of an excellent performance will be enough for them to qualify for the semi-finals.
Sumeet Passi’s form has given a major boost to Sporting Goa and will be a goal scoring threat along with young Nigerian striker, Ndidi Chukwama. They have an injury-free squad at their disposal and Costa is likely to demote Densill Theobald to the bench as Mahmoud Al Amnah recovers from a hamstring strain.
The coach of the Goan club, Mateus Costa said, “When you play this sort of a tournament you have to be extra cautious. We got an away goal but this is a new game. We are going to put our best foot forward and we are just focusing on advancing to the next round”.
He added, “We will change the squad because in two days’ time we are having a match. So definitely you will see some changes.”
Mumbai FC will be looking to forget their 0-1 loss to Sporting and fight back in this match. They have had a disappointing I-League campaign and will be looking forward to making amends by reaching the semi-finals of the Federation Cup.
Mumbai had lost to Sporting 3-2 at the Fatorda stadium in the I-League earlier this season and have had a poor record in away games, taking only 3 points from their travels. Hitesh Sharma missed the first leg through injury and is likely to miss this game too. Pratik Chowdhary and Minchol Son will be the strike partners for the game.
Their coach, Khalid Jamil said, “It is difficult but not impossible and we still have a chance. In second half, we got two chances which we missed”. He added, “We have to take our chances if we are to win tomorrow’s fixture,”
The game will be crucial to the chances of either team reaching the semi-finals.
