Sporting Clube de Goa signs Japanese footballer

New Delhi - I-League football club Sporting Club de Goa on Thursday signed Japanese footballer Seiya Sugishita till May 2013.

The 25-year-old Sugishita, a former Saitama FC player in the Japan Regional League, said he was looking forward to his sting in India.

“I really look forward to playing in India. I would like to thank Sporting Club de Goa and Libero Sports for giving me this opportunity and I hope to repay their faith in me with many goals in this I-League season! My new teammates have made me feel at home and I cannot wait to play my first game as soon as I’m back from Japan,” said Sugishita.
