Sportskeeda's take on the EPL transfer rumours of 3rd July
In the last few days, we’ve picked up few of the best rumours from newspapers and websites to analyse them. At Sportskeeda, we’ve made a constant effort to get to the roots of the rumours, and bring some transfer sense to it.
Today, we take about the rumours surrounding Laurent Koscielny, Hugo Lloris, and Luis Suarez. We have done an in-depth analysis on the EPL transfer rumours of 3rd July.
Laurent Koscielny to Bayern Munich
The Frenchman has been linked with a move to the German champions in the last few days. According to the London Evening Standard, Mehdi Benatia is set to leave Bayern Munich, and they want to replace him with Koscielny.
Experts say: Reports in Germany first linked Koscielny with a move to Bayern, but nobody seems to be confident about it happening.
Our take: Koscielny is a key player for Arsene Wenger, and one of the best defenders in Europe, so it’s a bit difficult to imagine Arsenal considering a sale. It was believed his contract at the Emirates expires next summer, but reports now suggest that’s not the case, and he has another three years left on his existing deal. The 30-year-old still has few good years left in him, and it’s very unlikely he’d be leaving Arsenal this summer.

Hugo Lloris to Real Madrid
According to The Mirror, Real Madrid have turned their attention towards France and Tottenham skipper Hugo Lloris after failing to work out a deal for David de Gea and Thibaut Courtois. It is reported Lloris could cost Real Madrid as much as £35m.
Experts say: Reports in Spain suggest Real Madrid are quite happy with Keylor Navas’ performances last season, and that’s one of the main reason they haven’t returned for David de Gea this summer.
Our take: You’d think Real Madrid would go all out for David de Gea, if they really wanted to sign a goalkeeper this summer. The truth is Real Madrid don’t want to sign a goalkeeper this summer, and Zidane is more than happy with Keylor Navas between the sticks. It’s very unlikely Real Madrid will make an offer for Lloris, and we can’t really see Tottenham selling their skipper so easily.
Chances of it happening out of 10: 2/10
Luis Suarez to Manchester City
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is interested in signing Barcelona star Luis Suarez, The Mirror reports. It is reported Suarez would cost Manchester City £85m, and that Guardiola hasn’t lost hope to bring back Suarez to the Premier League.
Experts say:
Our take: There is no way Luis Suarez is signing for Manchester City this summer. We simply can’t see Barcelona selling their top goal scorer from last season. Also, Suarez, last year, revealed that he’d not consider signing for any other club in the Premier League except Liverpool, if he were to ever return to the Premier League. At the moment, Suarez is going nowhere.
