Sportskeeda's take on the EPL transfer rumours of 1st July

France's future could be a Red Devil

Welcome to our latest section on transfer rumour analysis. Over the past few days, we have picked up few of the best rumours doing the rounds and tried to study them. Today, we talk about the future of Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski, Real Madrid star Raphael Varane, and AZ striker Vincent Janssen.

All of the above-mentioned players have been linked with a move to the Premier League, but will that happen? We have done an in-depth analysis on the EPL transfer rumours of 1st July.

Zielinski's going to light up the Premiership?

Piotr Zielinski to Liverpool

The Polish midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool in the last few months. According to a report on Tutto Mercato Web, Napoli and Udinese have already agreed a fee of €14m, but the player wants to move to Liverpool.

Experts say: Liverpool based journalists believe Liverpool are very much interested in signing Zielinski, and see him signing for the Reds this summer.

Our take: Things are expected to escalate after Poland’s exit from the Euros. Liverpool don’t seem to be too sure about this one, and might be having second thoughts. It is believed the Merseyside club are also interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach youngster Mahmoud Dahoud, and that’s why a deal for Zielinski is kept on hold. We still expect this deal to happen at some point should Liverpool fail to agree a deal for Dahoud.

Varane with Jose Mourinho again?

Raphael Varane to Manchester United

Marca claim Raphael Varane is looking for an exit from Real Madrid, and that Manchester United are interested in signing the Frenchman. The 23-year-old is the thrid choice centre-back at the club, and wants a more important role. Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in him.

Experts say: The experts don’t really have anything to say on this, and that’s probably because it’s not really taken seriously.

Our take: It’s difficult to see this one happening this summer. Real Madrid see Varane as an important member in their squad, and don’t really need the money. The player has another four years left on his contract at Santiago Bernabeu, and Manchester United could try as much as they want, but will find it next to impossible to tempt him to Old Trafford this summer.

Janssen seemingly might have to choose between Arsenal and Totteham.

Vincent Janssen to Tottenham

AZ Alkmaar have reportedly rejected three bids for Janssen from Tottenham, and their latest bid of €17m was turned down. The player has vented out his frustration and accused the Eredivisie club of blocking his dream move to White Hart Lane.

“I trust AZ will talk to Spurs. If AZ do not, despite the offered amount, and Spurs drop out, then that is a blow to me. I’m not one to create war quickly, but how I react, I do not know. I assume that AZ realises that a transfer for everyone is the best. AZ are blocking my dream transfer and that makes me incredibly disappointed,” Janssen told De Telegraaf

Experts say: Reports in Netherlands suggest AZ are willing to sell Janssen for €20m. which would represent a record-breaking fee for the Eredivisie club.

Our take:  Well, this one is quite interesting. The player has already agreed personal terms with Tottenham, and reports suggest AZ are holding out for €20m. However, after Janssen’s comments AZ’s technical director, Max Huiberts, has said the club don’t want to sell him. It seems things have got a bit messy, and won’t be surprised if AZ even rejected a bid of €20m from Tottenham.
