Sportskeeda's take on the EPL transfer rumours of 6th July

Juve are reportedly interested in signing Matic but the likelihood of the deal is very low.

As clubs begin with their pre-season tour, a lot of work is going behind the scenes to recruit the right players before the start of the season. There is no end to the transfer rumours, but very few of them turn out to be correct.

Today, we discuss the future of Nemanja Matic, Ante Coric, and Toni Kroos. We have done an in-depth analysis on the EPL transfer rumours of 6th July.

Nemanja Matic to Juventus

The Serbian international has been linked with a move away from Chelsea. Tuttosport say Juventus are interested in Matic and are working out a deal to sign him. Apparently, Antonio Conte doesn’t see Matic as an important player next season, and could let him go for €25m.

Experts say: Italian journalist for some reason keep suggesting Matic is on his way out of Chelsea.

Our take: Matic was not at his best last season, but we really doubt Chelsea will let him go this summer. Even if he does leave, there is no way Roman Abramovic will sanction a sale for €25m. Chelsea have been impressive in the transfer market in the last four years, and we can’t see them letting Matic go so cheaply.

Chances of it happening out of 10: 2/10

Ante Coric to Liverpool

According to Croatian website tportal, Liverpool have offered €15m for Dinamo Zagreb star Ante Coric. The Croatian club will now discuss the offer from Liverpool, and a decision is expected to be taken on Thursday.

Experts say: Other Croatian media outlets have also joined in, but local journalists in Liverpool are quite silent on this.

Our take: Liverpool might very well be interested in Coric, but any deal won’t be easy. Zdravko Mami is usually involved in all transfer related to Dinamo Zagreb, and he likes to make things difficult and complicated. Liverpool have failed to complete transfer deals in Ukraine and Russia in recent years, and we won’t be surprised should they find it difficult in Croatia as well. At the moment, there is nothing much to speculate in this, and we probably should wait for more information.

Chances of it happening out of 10: 5/10

Toni Kroos to Manchester City

Pep Guardiola couldn’t convince Toni Kroos to stay at Bayern Munich when he left for Real Madrid, but latest rumours suggest he wants to sign the German star at Manchester City. Kroos has also responded to the rumours insisting he is very happy at Real Madrid, but he can’t rule out anything.

Experts say: The experts have nothing to add to these rumours, as they probably don’t see it happening.

Our take: It’s very unlikely Kroos would want to leave Real Madrid, after recently winning the Champions League. It's even more unlikely Real Madrid would want to sell him, as that wouldn't make sense. Zidane would ideally want to retain most of his players from last season, as he prepares for his first full season at Santiago Bernabeu.

Chances of it happening out of 10: 2/10
