Sportskeeda's take on the EPL transfer rumours of 15th July

Kostas Manolas was one of better players for Roma last season

Welcome to our latest section transfers. As always, we’ve been digging newspapers and websites for the most accurate information on the transfers doing the rounds. Several players get linked to Premier League clubs every transfer window, but very few of the rumours are true.

Today, we talk about the future of Kostas Manolas, Ondrej Duda, Claudio Bravo, and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen. We have done an in-depth analysis on the English Premier League transfer rumours of 15th July.

Kostas Manolas to Arsenal or Chelsea

Greek international Kostas Manolas could be leaving AS Roma this summer, reports Gazzetta dello Sport. Arsenal and Chelsea are lurking around, and could offer the player €4m/year. He is currently earning €1.5m/year at the Serie A club.

Experts say: Italian journalist don’t seem to be sure about this one, as any transfer deal this summer looks very complicated.

Our take: Manolas’ former club Olympiakos will get 50% of any transfer fee received by AS Roma before the 1st of September, and that’s why the Serie A club are reluctant to sell him this summer. A loan deal with a mandatory option to buy could be a solution, but that remains to be seen. Manchester United are also said to be interested, but things are very complicated.

Chances of it happening: 5/10

Ondrej Duda to Arsenal, West Ham, or Manchester United

Slovakian youngster Ondrej Duda is in talks with Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin, reports Bild. Hertha, however, could face competition from Arsenal, West Ham, and Manchester United. The player is valued at €3.5m.

Experts say: German media believe Duda is closer to a move to Bundesliga than to any of the interested Premier League clubs.

Our take: It seems Bild have casually thrown Arsenal, West Ham, and Manchester United into the mix. We really doubt if any of the clubs are even interested, and the player should wrap up his move to Hertha. Duda doesn’t seem to be ready for any of the mentioned Premier League clubs.

Chances of it happening: 3/10

Claudio Bravo or Marc-Andre ter Stegen to Manchester City

Claudio Bravo and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen are both targets for Manchester City. Barcelona’s president, Robert Fernandez has told the Spanish media that they want to keep both the goalkeepers at the club.

Experts say: Spanish media have linked both Bravo and Ter Stegen with a move to Machester City at different times.  At the moment, Bravo seems more closer to an exit.

Our take: Ter Stegen has regularly complained about playing time last season, so there is a chance Barcelona could offload one of the goalkeepers. It’s very likely Bravo will be shown the door, as the German goalkeeper is younger with more potential. Also, it’s a bit unlikely Manchester City would want to meet Ter Stegen’s release clause of €80m, so a transfer for Bravo is more likely.

Chances of it happening: 7/10
