Mohun Bagan relieve technical director Subhash Bhowmick from his duties

Kolkata, December 4 City football giants Mohun Bagan on Thursday relieved their team Technical Director Subhash Bhowmick of his duties, citing the All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) recent decision that an (Asian Football Confederation) AFC 'A' coaching licence was mandatory for someone to occupy such a position.

The AIFF I-League committee meeting on November 24, passed a resolution that from the ensuing season the technical director should have an AFC 'A' licence, otherwise he would not be allowed to sit in the reserve bench or conduct training of the team.

"He has not been sacked, but yes, he cannot continue as the technical director as he does not have the AFC 'A' licence," Mohun Bagan general secretary Anjan Mitra confirmed.
