ISL 2017: Sunil Chhetri trying to slot wedding in between upcoming season
What's the Story
Indian football team skipper Sunil Chhetri will b tying the knot with Sonam Bhattacharya on December 4. However, with the Indian Super League (ISL) set to take place at that time, Chhetri is opting to slot in the the wedding ceremony between the gaps where his team, Bengaluru FC are not playing.

Chhetri and Bengaluru FC are set to participate in ISL 2017, where the Blues will be taking part for the first time. Bengaluru have been one of the most consistent clubs in India, winning the I-League twice in four seasons. Now, they are all set to take their brand of football to the cash-rich ISL.
The Heart of the Matter
Being the poster boy of Indian football, Chhetri's wedding is set to be a lavish affair. The top brass of the football fraternity expected to attend his wedding. Courtesy ISL, however, the tournament is spread over a month. The fourth edition of ISL begins on November 17 and Bengaluru host Mumbai City FC in their first game on Nov 19.
Bengaluru have a 7-day gap until the next game, where they host Delhi Dynamos. Chhetri plans to take advantage of the break to have his wedding ceremony, according to TOI. The Sangeet will be held in Gurgaon the following day.
The wedding ceremony will be held on December 4 in Kolkata, between Bengaluru's away games against FC Goa (Nov 30) and NorthEast United (December 8). It's also a rest day for the tournament and perhaps the reason why it's being held on that day.
What Next?
Chhetri will be in Bengaluru after his team's away match against FC Pune City (December 14). The team plays two home matches (Chennaiyin FC on December 17 and Jamshedpur FC on December 21) before the big reception. The talismanic playmaker will have six days before Bengaluru's next match against Kerala Blasters on December 31.

A regular person scheduling a wedding is one thing. However, a footballer of Chhetri's calibre scheduling a wedding in the middle of the ISL season seems to be quite the task. But if Sunil believes that he can pull it off, he surely can.
