We are a team of winners: Joe Hart
EPL champions Manchester City have been in very consistent form for more than a year, but with Chelsea currently tied with them at the top of the table, City are in a tough spot. After the first game of 2015, City dramatically leveled on points with Chelsea as the league toppers lost a match against Tottenham.
Manchester City goal keeper Joe Hart says he is confident of his team and is sure that the boys will be awarded at the end of the season for what they have done so far. He said, “It’s been bitty, but we are starting to flow now, starting to get results, score goals and defend how we wanted to defend. We are getting there. And we are strong and confident. We have stuck by each other, and the manager has stuck by us and we are getting the rewards for that.”
City have missed their main forwards in most games of December, but have won the games, nonetheless. With City having an easy fixture list in January, manager Manuel Pellegrini would be aiming for first place by the end of the month itself. With fierce competition from Chelsea at the top, City need to maintain their winning momentum and proceed game-by-game.
Even though he missed the home against Sunderland this week as he was rested by manager Manuel Pellegrini, Hart is confident that City can defend the title. “We are a team of winners and we will stick it through. We have got a good manager, so hopefully we can steer our way through successfully like we have done in the past,” the keeper said.
