The evolution of a transfer rumour
The days when a legitimate source would start a transfer news in the rumour mill are pretty much over, and the recent story involving journalist Rory Smith of The Times indicates just that. While answering to a tweet from one of his followers about Udinese forward Luis Muriel being Luis Suarez‘s potential replacement, Smith responded saying “Liverpool looked at him.“

However the story took a wild turn when a respectable sports website and tabloids all across the United Kingdom inaccurately reported the story.
