“The New Zidane” - Remy Cabella targeted by Manchester United

Manchester United have been given a boost in their pursuit of Montpellier midfielder Remy Cabella after manager Jean Fernandez admitted that an offer in the region of £15m would be hard to refuse, according to The Express.

Cabella has been in sensational form for the Ligue 1 side, scoring five goals in nine appearances so far this season, attracting attention from Europe’s elite. The Express also report that he has been dubbed “the new Zidane.”

Linked heavily with a move to Old Trafford, Montpellier chiefs appear to be resigned to his sale in January and Fernandez told reporters that the French youngster can leave the club in the next transfer window.

“He is an intelligent boy who is enjoying a good season,” Fernandez told reporters. ”Now, if in the winter transfer window Manchester United offer €18m (£15m) as I have read, he must go.

“Although that would kill the team, one cannot refuse an offer like that.”

Cabella is also known to be keen on a move away from Montpellier, with Champions League football his top priority, but Montpellier had previously slapped a £100m price tag on the player.

However, with Fernandez offering a more realistic price, Cabella could be on the move sooner rather than later.

Cabella has been in superb form for Montpellier with five goals so far this season, but he has created plenty for his team-mates too with 17 chances created in eight games.
