The Serie A Weekend Wrap
The Rossoneri suffered yet another humiliating loss at home to Atalanta. Having lost a number of veterans and sold Thiago Motta and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Milan have had their worst home start in 82 years. Whatever reasoning they may put forward, on the pitch they look depleted.
Massimiliano Allegri however remains upbeat that they can start their Champions League campaign with a win – despite their disappointing season so far.
Hope this dinner date betwenn Galiani and Allegri helps to sort things out.
Pescara & Siena are basically hopeless. They are bookies’ favourites for relegation. I would be hugely surprised if they didn’t end up in the Serie B next season.

We already have seen the maverick that is Mario Ballotelli. The Italian team is in a phase of transition, with the old giving away to the new. The “new” has shown us a different attitude to what we generally expect from Italian footballers. The word defence which we see engraved in all Italian teams seems amiss in them. However, performances from players like Ciro Immobile, Mattia Destro, Lorenzo Insigne and Stephan El Shaarawy gives the Azzuris assurances that their attacking arsenal will remain stacked for some years to come.
He just likes his team to attack. Period!! Even if that means throwing away a two goal lead away from home as they did this week against Bologna. It would fun to see him manage a team in the Premier League.
That’s the first word that comes to mind to describe Stevan Jovetic’s performance at the weekend. Manager Vincenzo Montella has thanked the club for deciding to keep Stevan Jovetic at the club.
Andrea Ranocchia-The next big name in the illustrious list of Italian defenders? Inter would really like to think so. On the other hand, reports of a problem with coach Andrea Stramaccioni was dismissed by Wesley Sneijder after he was replaced in Inter’s game against Torino.
It took Mirko Vucinic and Kwadwo Asamoah to come off the bench and rescue Juve. The Old Lady came from a goal down to record a 3-1 win over Genoa CFC.
