Things that have happened since Eden Hazard last scored in the Premier League
The 2014/15 season saw Chelsea get a lot of plaudits for their consistency in the league as they went on to claim a double, winning the Premier League title and the Capital One Cup. One of their main players in those trophy wins was Belgian Eden Hazard, who won the PFA Player of the Year award.
However, the good times for Hazard seem to have stopped with that win itself, as he hasn't been able to score a goal in the league since the 3rd of May, 2015. The winger experienced a serious dip in form and even though he has been playing much better now, he is no closer to the player he was last year.
Here we take a look at some of the things that have happened since he last scored in the Premier League –
Barcelona won 5 trophies
The Catalan giants had a brilliant 2014-15 season, winning the treble in coach Luis Enrique's first campaign in-charge, before moving on to win the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
Lionel Messi won his fifth Ballon d’Or
The Barcelona magician was chosen as the winner of the 2015 Ballon d’Or ahead of arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo and club teammate Neymar.
Anthony Martial signed for and has made an instant impact at Manchester United
When Manchester United signed Anthony Martial for £36 million pounds, a lot of people didn't really know who he was. However, the young striker made sure everyone stood up and took notice with his performances, scoring a sensational goal on debut against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
Atletico Madrid became first team to win three in a row at Santiago Bernabeu
With their 1-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid broke previous La Liga records to become the first time to win three in a row against their crosstown rivals at their home.
Iceland and Wales qualified for maiden European Championships
Both Iceland and Wales made history by qualifying for Euro 2016 that will be held in France in the summer.
Real Madrid have had three managers
When Eden Hazard last scored, Carlo Ancelotti was Real Madrid's manager. Failure to win any major silverware last season saw the Italian sacked, with Rafael Benitez taking over. However, after a not so impressive start to the season, Benitez too was shown the door, with club legend Zinedine Zidane now the manager of the team.
