Manchester United target Thomas Muller refuses to rule out a move away from Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller has denied rumours linking him with a move to Premier League outfit Manchester United but revealed his long-term with Bayern is not guaranteed.

The 24-year-old forward had reportedly fallen out with manager Pep Guardiola and was tipped to seek a move away from the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

With Robert Lewandowski set to arrive from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, the Pole is expected to be given a starting berth in the Bavarian’s attack, which would leave Muller’s place in the team in jeopardy.

It is widely believed that Louis van Gaal is set to be appointed Manchester United manager next week and the former Bayern boss has been strongly linked with a move for Muller, who the Dutchman handed a debut to with the Bundesliga club back in 2008.

However, the German international has played down a possible transfer Old Trafford and insisted that he does not want to leave his boyhood club, report the Metro.

“I didn’t make these rumours up myself, so I don’t particularly want to comment on them too much, but I’m definitely not about to jump ship at Bayern.

“That said, I can’t make any guarantees [that I'll stay at the club] for all time,” he insisted.

Given Munich’s current standing as one of Europe’s best teams and United’s plight and uncertain future, the striker would be unlikely to seek a move.

Thomas Muller is Bayern Munich’s second top scorer in the Bundesliga this season with 13 goals.
