Tolgay issue: Verdict on Monday
The 5-members panel, which was investigating the Tolgay issue, came to a decision after yesterday’s meeting that they would give a verdict on the matter on Monday, according to IFA secretary Mr. Utpal Ganguly.
Tolgay Ozbey, who currently plays for Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan after a conflict that occurred between him and his former Kolkata club East Bengal, is quite hopeful about the panel’s decision. Though his move to Mohun Bagan has not been registered yet, everyone is looking forward to the verdict of the panel. This issue has taken so much time that both the clubs requested the panel to come to a decision as soon as possible. The panel has requested Tolgay and East Bengal to be present at the meeting which will be held on Monday.
Tolgay suffered a hamstring injury while practicing with his team on Wednesday in their pre-season camp in Durgapur. According to the club medical report, Tolgay went through an MRI scan on his leg, but they found no crack or anything serious. In a statement, coach Santosh Kashyap said that it would take a minimum of three to four days for Tolgay to come back for practice.
