Rumour: Tom Ince set to snub Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool interest to join Inter Milan

Tom Ince is set to turn down a stay in the Premier League to follow in father Paul’s footsteps and join Inter Milan on a free transfer in the summer, as reported by the Daily Express.

Ince’s contract at Blackpool expires at the end of the season and he had drawn some interest from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and former club Liverpool, while Crystal Palace are also keen on making his current loan spell at Selhurst Park permanent.

Ince turned down a move to Monaco in January and is reportedly demanding high wages that none of the English clubs currently interested are willing to pay. Meanwhile, Inter have denied that any deal is close to being finalised as yet, but they are hopeful Ince will decide to join them next season.

Technical director at Inter, Piero Ausilio, told reporters, “He’s a young player with an expiring contract who is weighing up several options.

“It’s definitely not a done deal for Ince. But it’s an intriguing possibility, him coming here in his father’s footsteps.”

Paul Ince spent spent two years at Inter Milan after transferring from Manchester United back in 1995 and still holds close ties with the club. With Inter plotting a major rebuild over the course of the summer, son Tom is now a prime target to join the likes of Hernanes and Nemanja Vidic, who have all been signed up in the past four months.

Tom Ince has completed just two take-ons in his eight Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace this season, proving successful in 20% of his attempts to beat his man.
