Toni Kroos: I haven't agreed to a new deal with Bayern yet
Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos has hinted that he could be with a different club next season after admitting that he hasn’t followed the footsteps of his teammates Philip Lahm and Thomas Muller footsteps and agreed to a new deal with the Bundesliga champions according to the Daily Mail.
Both Lahm and Muller signed long term contracts with Munich unlike Kroos who is still very much a top target of incoming Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal who managed Kroos at Bayern.
The 24-year-old rejected Bayern’s first offer as he felt he deserved more after his performances for the team and is still locked in a contract wrangle with the German champions.
“There's nothing new to report,” said the midfielder at a press conference on Wednesday “With respect to the time before the World Cup, nothing at all has changed.
“If anything does happen, then you will all find out. Congratulations to Philipp and Thomas for their decisions and extensions.”
Kroos’ Bayern deal expires in 2015 which could force the club to sell him for a good price rather than lose him for free next summer.
The Germany international would be an excellent addition to Manchester United as he can play in a holding role as well as an attacking role.
