Tony Pulis: Berahino is available if West Brom are offered right deal
West Bromwich Albion’s young striker Saido Berahino is available for the right price according to boss Tony Pulis. The young Englishman’s future has been a matter of constant speculation in recent months.
Berahino has scored 8 goals in the Premier League this season in a struggling West Brom side. New West Brom boss Tony Pulis believes his side’s top scorer can leave if it is the right deal for the club.
“Everyone is available”
"Everyone is available in every shape and form and there's no difference about that," said Pulis
He cited Luis Suarez’s departure from Liverpool to Barcelona for £75m as an example of the deal being “the right one for the club”.
However, the Welshman iterated that he wants the England under-21 international to stay at West Brom. Berahino has been linked with Liverpool and Tottenham among other clubs.
“Berahino is a pleasure to work with”
Pulis praised Berahino’s attitude and says that his young striker’s mind is clear.
“We’ve had no offers for Saido, he is scoring goals and is a pleasure to work with,” Pulis said.
“People talk about the kid’s attitude and this, that and the other. He has been last off the training ground every morning we have trained, doing a bit extra with Kempy (Dave Kemp), he was doing a little bit with Jewelly (Paul Jewell) today. He’s been first class. And I think he’s enjoyed what we’ve tried to do.
“The important thing is we have to make sure he has a clear mind going out on the football pitch and he concentrates on his football. I’ve had a chat with him about that and he’s been absolutely smashing.”
