S.P.A.L 2013 and Udinese were involved in one of the most exciting games of the 2017-18 Serie A season so far. The home team was well placed to win the game after a 2-0 lead at 53 minutes.

SPAL took the lead with Marco Borriello's right footed shot from the centre of the box to the top right corner. They doubled the lead with Lazzari's goal. When SPAL was well positioned to win the game, Udinese came back into the game with two late goals. Bram Nuytinck headed a goal from a difficult angle to make it 2 -1. The goal was assisted by Jakub Jankto with a neat cross. Udinese made it 2 - 2 with the help of a penalty goal from Cyril Théréau.

Both the teams played aggressively which resulted in four yellow cards in the 2nd half. When the game was heading towards a draw, a final twist came. Lucas Rizzo scored a 94th-minute goal to give the home side a thrilling win. Mirco assisted Rizzo which he converted from the left side of the box to the bottom right corner.

This narrow victory has helped S.P.A.L to stay three points clear of the relegation zone.
