Theo Walcott celebrates scoring a goal in this fantastic game

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger mentioned that League Cup was his last priority as his players took his words a little too seriously as they went 4-0 down to Reading in the first half.

Reading went into the lead at just 12 minutes in the game when Jason Roberts scored one from close range. An own goal by Laurent Koscielny followed a goal from Leigertwood gave Reading a mammoth 3-0 lead just within 20 minutes. The game seemed closed when Hunt's header went in with 8 minutes of play still remaining in the first half.

However, Theo Walcott had some other plans as he reduced the lead just before half-time to make it 4-1 in favour of Reading.

A fine Olivier Giroud header from Walcott's corner kick made things interesting as the Gunners needed 2 more goals with 25 minutes of regular time still to play. It was 89th minute when Koscielny headed in another corner and the lead was just down to a single goal and Arsenal was close to a remarkable comeback.

Walcott blasted in from three yards and made the dramatic comeback possible for Arsenal.

Arsenal led for the first time when Marouane Chamakh hit a driven shot past the Reading goalie to make it 5-4. Pavel Pogrebnyak equalized for Reading from close range and the scoreline displayed 5-5 with only 5 minutes left for the tie-breaker scene.

Walcott completed his hat-trick and gave Arsenal the lead with just the injury time left to play and a final goal from Chamakh finished one of the enthralling comebacks of all time.
