?Top 5 goalkeepers with the most ISL clean sheets
The team's defensive unit claims a clean sheet only if they have managed to prevent the opposition from scoring a goal. The Indian Super League was founded in October of 2013 and does not follow the promotion and relegation model, instead opting to grow the league through expansion, similar to the Major League Soccer, in America.
Currently in its fourth season, the league earned recognition and accreditation from the AFC and expanded the league to 10 teams from the initial 8 that competed in the first three seasons.
A host of goalkeepers from around the world have plied their trade in the league so far. Here we look at the top 5 goalkeepers with the most clean sheets in the ISL.
#5 Toni Doblas - (6 clean sheets)
Former Delhi Dynamos shot-stopper, Toni Doblas,is also a former La Liga player with Real Betis and Zaragoza. After a decade in Spain, bouncing around clubs in the lower divisions, Doblas learnt his craft and competed against some of the best Spanish teams.
The player began his career in 1999 and in 2012 moved out of Spain. The Spaniard then had spells in Azerbaijan, Finland and most notably a failed stint with Napoli in Italy.
He is number five on the list of keepers with the most clean sheets in the ISL with 6 clean sheets during his two seasons with the Dynamos. With a 30% shutout success rate in 20 league appearances, the Spaniard is a veteran shot-stopper with great experience in the game.
