5 Sporting events that cost less than Coldplay tickets
The Mumbai-based web portal Mid-Day reported that British band Coldplay will be performing in the city on November 19 at the MMRDA and the show will be part of the Global Citizen Festival run by Chris Martin.
However, fans were disappointed when they heard about the reported ticket prices for the event. The music concert, held in the MMRDA will reportedly cost a minimum Rs 25,000 climbing to Rs 5,00,000 which would make the concert unavailable for a large section of the public.
While no one would be willing to fork out that amount for a few hours, here are five events where you could watch Indian athletes perform at a fraction of the cost.
#1 Kabaddi World Cup 2016
Kabaddi has re-emerged in India since the inception of the Pro-Kabaddi League. The Indian public have taken to the sport and television channels have got good TRP ratings by broadcasting the Pro-Kabaddi event.
Kabbadi fans will be excited to know that the Kabaddi World Cup will be played in Ahmedabad, Gujarat between 7-22 October.
The ticket prices haven’t been released yet, but going by the Pro-Kabaddi ticket prices, which were between Rs. 300-750, the prices should be in and around that range.
Each team in the Kabaddi World Cup will play at least 5 matches, barring from the semi-final and final matches. If the Kabaddi World Cup tickets costs are similar to that of the Pro-Kabaddi League, the season ticket should not be more than Rs. 2,500.
That’s just 1/10th of the cost of the Coldplay tickets!
