Tottenham have overtaken Liverpool to become favourites to sign Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala

Sky Bet have slashed the odds on Tottenham signing Willian, making them the bookmakers’ favourites to sign Willian. The odds on Willian joining Tottenham have fallen to 10/11, while the odds on the Brazilian joining Liverpool are even.

The playmaker has become available for transfer despite only being bought in January by Anzhi Makhachkala from Shakhtar Donetsk, as owner Suleiman Kerimov scales back his financial commitment to the club.

The 25-year-old has scored 1 goal in 11 appearances for Anzhi and scored 20 goals in 140 appearances for Shakhtar. He has won 11 caps for Brazil at the U-20 level and has so far played twice for the senior Brazilian team.
