Tottenham Hotspur to complain to FA over Charlie Adam's tackle on Paulinho
Tottenham Hotspur is set to lodge an official complaint with FA over Charlie Adam’s tackle on midfielder Paulinho. Spurs fear that the midfielder may be ruled out for a month through the injury.
Charlie Adam tackled Paulinho late in the game on Sunday, making it the fourth time the 28-year-old Scot has injured a Spurs player since he started playing in the Barclays Premier League in 2010. As per reports in the Daily Mail, Paulinho suffered damage to ankle ligaments in Spurs’ 3-0 win.
Adam had previously injured former Spurs winger Gareth Bale twice and also midfielder Scott Parker. After being abused in social media, Charlie Adam tweeted: “Just for the record and the people tweeting me abuse saying so, I don’t and never have had anything against Spurs and I would never intend to injury a fellow professional.”
Spurs are likely to complain to the FA over his horrendous tackle on Paulinho and will want them to take strict disciplinary action on the midfielder.
