Transfer news and rumours: 27th May 2016
Tomorrow is the biggest game of the season as Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are ready to do battle. But both clubs have already begun planning for next season. Jose Mourinho was also announced officially by Manchester United today and also gave his first press conference.
The Portuguese has already started making up a lost of players he wants to bring to the club. There is also big manager news coming from Spain so here are the list of news and rumours for the day.
Serie A
- Roma defender Antonio Rudiger has expressed his happiness at being at the club, but has left the door for a transfer wide open. The 23-year-old center-back is said to be on the radar of many clubs including Chelsea, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund. Rudiger has been quoted as saying to Revier Sport. “I'm currently a Roma player and I'm very happy here”
- Juventus Director of football Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed Patrice Evra’s contract renewal, but has refused to speak up on transfer targets Dani Alves and Javier Mascherano. “Dani Alves and Mascherano? I won’t confirm it and I won’t deny it,” Marotta told Il Mattino. “At the moment, we’re at the stage of confirming our current block. Our group is difficult to improve, and we have no intention of selling, so much so that in the next few days we’ll renew with Evra.”
- Barcelona are looking to interfere with Juventus to sign Sassuolo's Domenico Berardi, as reported by Football Italia. The 21-year-old has been recognized as one of the best strikers in Seria A, and earlier reports had suggested that a move to the Old Lady was just short of some mere formalities. However, The Spanish newspaper has insisted that Berardi was present in Barcelona personally last week and that he had some contacts with Juve’s directors.
