FC Barcelona shortlist three defenders to target in January
Mundo Deportivo has reported that Barcelona boss, Ernesto Valverde has told the board that he wants to sign a defender in the winter market. The former Athletic Bilbao man was keen on signing a centre-back last summer but failed in his pursuit of the first-choice target Inigo Martinez.
Valverde is set to resume interest in the central defender along with looking at Yerry Mina, the Palmeiras' promising defender. Ajax starlet, Matthijs De Ligt is also said to be on Barcelona's radar.
Florentino Perez estimates Harry Kane's transfer value
Real Madrid supremo, Florentino Perez has ruled out a move for Harry Kane next summer. Los Blancos were linked with a mega-money move for the Tottenham Hotspur hitman after the end of the season but his reported price has promptly put off the European champions. Speaking to Cadena Cope, Perez revealed, "Signing Harry Kane has not passed through my head.
He is a great player and in addition, he is young. He has many years to progress, but we are delighted with Karim Benzema and with all of the team. I didn’t ask Tottenham’s president for the price because he would have told me that he is worth €250m.”
