Transfer Rumour- Monaco eye Chelsea target Jackson Martinez

Chelsea have been linked with the 27 year old Colombian hitman for some time now but face competition from new big spenders Monaco, according to reports from talkSPORT.

The Porto striker managed to net 40 goals in 55 appearances since joining the Portuguese giants  from the Mexican outfit Chiapas F.C. in 2012. He is believed to be a target for the Special One who has close ties with his former club Porto.

Despite what seems to be a revival for fernando torres Mourinho is keen to add to the Blues front line and other prolific names like Balotelli and Lewandowski are also doing the rounds.

Being big spenders themselves Mourinho will still have a tough time fighting off Monaco who have spent an excess of £150m to mark their return to Ligue 1 this summer.

Monaco have made an excellent start under Claudio Ranieri sitting second three points behind PSG with a match in hand. Ranieri will be eager to partner Radamel Falcao with Martinez to match the exploits of title rivals PSG led by Zlatan and Cavani.
