Transfer surprise? European giants eye dazzling youngster linked with Liverpool

French side Monaco are rumoured to be lining up a swoop for Blackpool winger Tom Ince. The winger’s contract at Bloomfield Road ends in the summer, and a host of Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for the 21 year old. However the Mirror suggest that Ince may be set to follow in the footsteps of his father Paul with a move abroad.

Ince caught the eye last season with an 18 goal haul from his left wing berth. He was widely expected to move to the Premier League in the summer, but stayed at the club despite a number of offers. However with Blackpool sat mid table in the Championship – and dropping – he looks set to move on to a higher level at the end of the season.

Welsh duo Swansea and Cardiff led the race for Ince’s signature in the summer, with Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins admitting this week that the Swans are interested in a January move, but the Mirror report that he is favouring a move abroad.

Entering the final 6 months of his contract, Ince is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign side and is said to have offers from both Monaco and Ajax.

Over the past four fixtures, Ince has created 12 chances. This is the most of any Blackpool player, and over double that of his nearest rival Neil Bishop.
